Initial situation

Following a legal split of operations, a new property had to be found for the innovative and fast-growing company Rockwood Lithium GmbH, which was to provide office and laboratory space as well as the necessary service facilities. The move was intended to optimise the location/building infrastructure and to establish a modern work environment.

  • Basic assessment & needs analysis, space & function programme
  • Market & location analysis, building scoring & selection
  • Tenant building specification & negotiation support
  • Interior design of all special areas (reception, conference rooms, service centre, etc.)
  • Ideas competition & furniture tendering
  • Product development Cor-Ten steel platform for pollucite crystals
  • User consulting & project management vis-à-vis the owner
  • Change & move management

In addition to intensive service, the building complex guarantees close interlocking of the laboratory and office areas. The deep office floor plan features a triple link consisting of workstations plus hallway on each side of the middle zone. A multitude of small and informal meeting options complement the workplace and conference areas. Options for expansion have been incorporated in the concept and do not require any technical adaptation.

“Providing an innovative and fast-growing company with a new home is an exciting task. The 25 m deep floor plan permitted unconventional solutions.”
